Equity benchmarks continued to run up for third consecutive session Wednesday, with the Sensex closing above the 30000 mark for the first time ever, backed by banking & financials, auto and FMCG stocks. The Nifty also ended at record closing high ahead of expiry of April futures & options contracts due Thursday, up 45.25 points at 9,351.85.
