Buying counters continued to ring on the market, with the Sensex gaining over 200 points, while the Nifty traded comfortably above 9950-mark.The Sensex was up 218.96 points at 31810.99, while the Nifty was up 77.35 points at 9966.05. The market breadth was healthy as 1,708 shares advanced against a decline of 553 shares, while 79 shares were unchanged.
Tata Steel, GAIL and NTPC gained the most on both indices, while HDFC and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were the top losers.
