The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.30 per cent down at 3,798. PSU bank stocks Syndicate BankBSE -0.75 % (down 1.39 per cent), Union Bank of IndiaBSE -0.81 % (down 1.33 per cent), Bank of BarodaBSE -0.24 % (down 1.13 per cent), IDBI BankBSE -0.66 % (down 0.82 per cent), Andhra BankBSE -0.16 % (down 0.65 per cent), Bank of India (down 0.47 per cent), Allahabad BankBSE 0.00 % (down 0.33 per cent) and State Bank of IndiaBSE 0.35 % (down 0.22 per cent) were trading in the negative zone in afternoon trade on Wednesday. Nifty Private Bank index too declined over 1 per cent, with all components in the red.
