Sensex, Nifty Retreats From Record Highs ; Stocks Crack Up To 9%

Shares of Websol Energy System, Indosolar, Sintex Plastics Technology and Southern Petrochemicals Industries CorporationBSE -7.75 % cracked up to 9 percent on NSE in Friday's trade as the equity markets witnessed a sudden fall on profit booking in IT, Teck and telecom counters. The Nifty50 index was 44 points down at 10,607, while the Sensex was 96 points down at 34,407.
