BSE Oil & Gas Index In The Green; GAIL, Oil India Among Top Gainers

Shares of oil and gas companies Castrol India (up 1.28 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 1.08 per cent), Oil India BSE -0.75 % (up 1.02 per cent) and Reliance IndustriesBSE 0.38 % (up 0.73 per cent) were trading up in afternoon trade on Friday. 
Shares of Oil and Natural Gas CorporationBSE 0.31 % (up 0.44 per cent) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 0.17 per cent) were also in the green. Equity benchmarks were in the green on sustained buying by domestic institutional investors amid a firm trend at other Asian bourses.
