Cardamom, Crude Palm Oil Down On Sluggish Demand

Cardamom prices fell 2.81 per cent to Rs 1,009 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid low demand.
Besides, sufficient stocks on higher arrivals from the major cardamom producing regions weighed on the prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December fell by Rs 29.20, or 2.81 per cent, to Rs 1,009 per kg, in a business turnover of 36 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in January edged down by Rs 21.80, or 2.03 per cent, to Rs 1,050 per kg, with a trading volume of 7 lots.

Crude palm oil :

Crude palm oil prices fell 0.74 per cent to Rs 587.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid fall in demand at the spot market.
