Pace Research Closing Bell : Sensex, Nifty Ends Marginally Lower

Benchmark indices ended marginally lower on Tuesday, retreating from record highs hit in the previous session, as recent out performers such as State Bank of India fell, while Infosys Ltd dropped after going ex-dividend.

Sensex, Nifty Continue To Trade Subdued

Benchmark indices continued to trade mildly lower, with range bound move continuing through the first hour of the afternoon as well.

The Sensex was down 27.41 points at 33238.75, while the Nifty was down 13.50 points at 10350.20. The market breadth was narrow as 1,308 shares advanced against a decline of 1,158 shares, while 131 shares were unchanged.

Nifty Holds 10,350, Midcap Continues To Outperform

Equity benchmarks continued to consolidate ahead of Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting that will begin tonight, and corporate earnings.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 0.06 points at 33,266.22 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 9.30 points to 10,354.40.

Sensex Opens Flat, Nifty 10,350 On Negative Global Cues

Equity benchmarks opened flat with a negative bias, led by some profit booking as investors looked for more earnings for cues.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 33.60 points at 33,232.56 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 11.50 points to 10,352.20.

Maruti Suzuki Reports 3.4% YoY Rise In Q2 Net Profit At Rs 2,484 Crore

The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki BSE 1.01 % on Friday reported a rise of 3.44 per cent in profit after (PAT) tax at Rs 2,484.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The profit was higher than ET Now poll of Rs 2,277 crore.

Sensex, Nifty Volatile Ahead Of ITC, ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki Earnings

Equity benchmarks continued to consolidate in afternoon after hitting record highs. Investors looked for more earnings for further cues.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 84.32 points at 33,231.45 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 0.60 points to 10,343.20. About 1,390 shares advanced against 1,065 declining shares on the BSE.

Sensex, Nifty Hit Fresh Record High; Bharti Twins Drop, Adani Ports Up 4%

Benchmark indices made record high levels at the opening bell, led by strong positive momentum seen on daily charts and better-than-expected rollovers to November futures and options series contracts. At 9.22 am, the BSE Sensex was trading 67.19 points, or 0.20 per cent, higher at 33,214.32. The index hit a all-time high of 33270.62 in the opening trade. The Nifty50 was trading at 10,347.50, up 3.70 points, or 0.04 per cent. The index hit a all-time high of 10,366.15 in early trade. Bharti Airtel and Bharti Infratel plunged 4-6 percent.

Dow, S&P Gain But Nasdaq Dips As Healthcare Lags

The Dow and S&P 500 advanced on Thursday after a round of positive corporate earnings announcements, but gains were curbed and the Nasdaq lost ground on a drop in the healthcare sector.

DowDuPont was up 2.8 percent as the biggest boost to the S&P 500. It forecast third-quarter profit well above Wall Street’s expectations ahead of the combined company’s first earnings report next week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 71.61 points, or 0.31 percent, to 23,401.07, the S&P 500 gained 3.26 points, or 0.13 percent, to 2,560.41 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 7.12 points, or 0.11 percent, to 6,556.77.

Pace Research Morning Bell : Sensex, Nifty Hit Record Highs At Open

The market started off last day of the week on a positive note as equity benchmarks hit fresh record highs but Nifty Bank fell over half a percent due to weak earnings from Yes Bank.

Asian Stocks Stall On Wall Street Pullback, Euro Gains Before ECB

Asian stocks stalled on Thursday, weighed as Wall Street shares pulled back from record highs, while the euro stretched gains ahead of a European Central Bank policy meeting at which it could take a major step away from accommodative policy.

MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan slipped 0.05 percent. Australian stocks dipped 0.2 percent while South Korea’s KOSPI lost 0.1 percent.

Japan’s Nikkei , which had snapped a 16-day winning run the previous day, rose 0.35 percent.

SBI, PNB, PSU Bank Stocks Rally Up To 40% On Modi Government’s Rs 2.11 Lakh Crore Recapitalisation

Shares of PSU banks rallied heavily on Wednesday following Modi government’s plan to recapitalise the lenders with a huge capital size of Rs 2.11 lakh crore. The stocks of all the listed state-run banks on the PSU bank index of NSE traded in green today with a maximum rise of up to 40%. About Rs 7,300 crore worth of shares exchanged hands on the Nifty PSU Bank index within an hour trade which is Rs 2,300 crore (approx) short of Rs 9,600 crore turnover of Nifty as at 10:17 am.
