Sensex Trades Lower, Midcap Outperforms Nifty; HPCL, IOC, BPCL Down
Equity benchmarks continued to trade mildly lower in morning, dragged by FMCG, oil marketing companies, technology and select banking & financials stocks.The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 70.53 points at 33,608.71 and the 50-share NSE Nifty declined 30.70 points to 10,359.

Asia Markets Edge Down As Korean Market Falls 1.3% On Declines In Tech
Asian indexes edged down on Monday despite the firmer lead from Wall Street last week. Chinese markets traded lower as investors kept an eye on developments in the bond market while South Korea’s Kospi slid on weakness in tech names.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 erased early gains to slip 0.33 percent. Trading houses and manufacturing names made losses, but some notable names continued to cling to gains. Toyota was up 0.23 percent as other major automakers traded lower, Soft Bank Group gained 0.12 percent and Nintendo rose 1.74 percent.
Across the Korean Strait, the Kospi fell 1.25 percent, with tech stocks dragging on the broader index. Market movers included blue-chip heavyweight Samsung Electronics, which saw its stock tumble 4.4 percent. SK Hynix, meanwhile, fell 3.53 percent and Nevar lost 2.35 percent.

Bharat Petroleum Launches Two New LNG Tenders For Supply
India’s Bharat Petroleum launched a tender seeking a spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for delivery in January and a separate tender for three cargoes for May, August and October, trade sources said.Bharat seeks a spot cargo for Jan. 19-21 delivery into the Dahej import terminal, with bids due on or before Dec. 5 and the award due to be made on December 7, one trader said.

Asian Shares Off 10-Year Peak, Eyes On China Markets
Asian shares hovered below their 10-year peak on Friday while investors viewed Chinese shares with caution after their big fall the previous day. Bank Of Rajasthan Case: Sebi Bans 7 Entities For Five Years
Sebi barred seven entities, including former promoters, from the securities market for five years and directed them to disgorge illegal gains worth over Rs 95 lakh in the case of alleged insider trading in the shares of erstwhile Bank of Rajasthan. Bank of Rajasthan (BoR) is now merged with ICICI Bank.To check possible violation of insider trading norms, the regulator had conducted an investigation into the movement of BoR shares from May 7-18, 2010.

Maruti At Record Highs, Bajaj Auto Hits 52-week High
The Nifty up 16.55 points or 0.17 percent while the Sensex gained 88 points at 33567 on Wednesday afternoon. Asia markets rose in morning trade on Wednesday, taking overnight cues from Wall Street where stocks rose to record highs after a rally in tech names lifted the broader market. Hong Kong’s main index topped the 30,000 level at market open.Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 0.84 percent in morning trade, while the Topix was up 0.56 percent.
